Visa Trouble..

Today was one of the hard days of the run. A day where one might have packed the things and let enough be enough.

After 2 days of delays and hassles in connection w. the 1hour crossing of the Rea Sea from Jordan to Egypt it was finally time to run into the Sinai Desert and head asap to Suez and Cairo.
Finally !!

.. Not quite so !
After a very early start to make up lost distance I was stopped at a police roadblock. My visa obtained after hours of hassles and unpleasanties w. the Sinbad 'travel' company across the R. Sea - was not valid for travel into Sinai; it was valid for tourist area only.

... Running 20km up to the Israel border to get the right stamp.

... Hours of waiting as in principle I couldnt get the visum after all. Except w. some costs.

... Finally returning to nearby my starting point at the entrence of the Sinai hwy. Humiliated by laughter by the controlpost 6 wasted hours ago.

But to all, there is also Good. Todays "good" was the kind company by aPhilipine girl who was also caught between borders; going the opposite way. Her kind smile and hug as we waited :-))

Friendship do prevail no matter what bad we bring onto eachother; And I do wish that one day this simple thing will be true for Palestine & Israels people too :-) And let past be Past.
