Start 08:10am., at blue village sign in Arab, at main rd. to Gallabat (please see live-gps for exact location). 21c, half overcast and no wind. Finish 15:13pm., at sign "Gezira Tannery Coroperation" at main rd. to Gallabat (please see live-gps for exact location) , ca. 5km N. of Madani. 43c, a few clouds and l. wind.

.. Im running in the Gezira area (South East of Khartoum) and if you change the finish sign slightly to "Tanning Coroperation.." then I then I think it relays the feeling of running in the frying sun.

The skin is going off the most exposed parts of the hands, leaving long blisters and pink baby-skin next to the brown and orange areas that holds up better.

.. Its Spring in Sudan, and Im heading towards the Ethiopian highlands with their shelter for a melting Viking on a hot run in persuit of a far-away record. If I keep the 50km a day run 12 more days Ill be at them border.
Trying not to let my mind circle around that there will be one more passage of Equator in 20 000km of running, in South America. I have better things to think about !
