[The support-car refused to start in the morning, with a 85km streatch out to the startingpoint. All day spend repairing the car and tending to logistics].

OH NO.

- I guess the above says it all.

Once more there are troubles w. the supportcar. It then makes it a habit in nearly all the contries I have run through in South America so far: Only in Equador there's wasnt days lost due to support-car repair ! Argentina, Chile, Peru and now Colombia - mechanical bonanza' ;-)

But in all fairness... Its both a quite long distance not only to run but also for the supportcars to follow me at. In total nearly 10 000km across this continent; so who wouldnt expect a few breakdowns of the cars !

As a helpfull person in Argentina said when the supportcar number one (this is the fourth supportcar since the start in Punta Arenas 11months ago) broke down w. a blown gasket and a leaking piston: "You are lucky that its the legs which are holding up and the car that breaks down". Very True :-))
