Back on the road and back in the run again after the snake-bite two days ago. Still some light fatigue in the body and some nausea but all in all Ok !

An odd encounter during the run: As I was running into the small town of Sanutee a man was walking towards me at the roadside, he stopped and seemed to want to talk to me. Ofcourse I took a short pause to see what he wanted, yet instead it turned out that he for some strange reason had a problem with that I was running through this area (!?), shouting "Get Off Ny Territory" and similar things. I doubt that the side of the highway belongs to anyone so I asked him calmly what the problem was with that - but apparently this was not the response one should give in this part of the world... Since he then tried to get a fistfight out if it (he'd have had to be a little faster a runner than that to be successfull in staying near enough for a fight ;-)

What a wierd culture - I have only experiensed this level of hostility, without any provocation other than beeing a runner on the road, in the remote areas of North Ethiopia: There it would result in stone-throwing. But I would never have imagined that level of agression here, yet ofcouse this is also a part of the experience of the world run - that you get to see sides of the cultures wich a tourist would never know was there.

In all fairness, please balance this report and experiense with the Fantastic support I had when running through Florida and the streatch through Usa back in world run one in 2005 !! You can always have strange occurences and exceptions to a positive overall impression.
